Privacy Salon and Brussels Privacy Hub are hosting a launch event for Computers, Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP) 2018 conference.
The EU data protection regime claims that cross-border data transfer should not prejudice the level of protection individuals are entitled to. However, enforcing this claim in a cross-border context is not evident. This problem is widely recognised and in the last years the CJEU has set high standards. As a historically contentious subject, it remains a source of great controversy and legal complexity, with significant economic and political implications, touching upon some of the most fundamental issues of European Law.
The roundtable will be followed by a reception.
