"The Data -Driven City"  Panel Discussion

📢 Introducing a panel discussion on "Smart Cities - Data-Driven Cities” at the Facts-to-Act Festival 2024

The bond between humanity and its cities grows stronger in the urban age, particularly with the emergence of smart cities. These urban areas are data-driven and built on connectivity through information and communication technologies. Enabled by actor networks including public institutions, administrations, and private companies, smart cities represent a major urban revolution.

In this era of innovation, the imperative to enhance urban environments and improve quality of life has driven the emergence of smart cities. However, amidst this transformation, there's a pressing question: How do we ensure that our cities prioritize the well-being of all citizens?

Join us on Saturday April 20th at 14.30 in Mechelen to explore the intricate roles of citizens in promoting inclusivity and empowering them to actively shape the cities they call home.
