Privacy Symposium - Venice, 2nd Edition

Scuola Grande Di San Rocco

Opening Day

What is the Privacy Symposium?

The Privacy Symposium is a new conference based in Venice and held it’s second edition in the week of the 17 - 21 April 2023. While Venice is filled with privacy related history and artefacts, it provides a good ground for fruitful discussions and some history lessons on the side.

Similar to CPDP, it aims at promoting international dialogue, cooperation, and knowledge sharing on data protection, compliance, and innovative technologies.

With over 200 authorities and experts sharing their perspectives, the PRIVACY SYMPOSIUM provides a venue for data protection professionals, experts, authorities and researchers to meet and discuss:

  • Latest and upcoming changes in data processing regulations

  • International cooperation and convergence in data protection

  • Emerging technologies and data protection compliance

  • Future demands and needs for data protection compliance

  • Research and innovation in data protection and compliance

Range of Topics

The idea behind the conference is to explore the complexity and interdependencies of society, democracy, economy and data regulation in an inclusive environment.

Besides the stunning halls where the panels were held, the topics covered a range of data protection, metaverse privacy compliances, AI, health data, biometric data compliance, children’s safety online, GDPR and much more.
