FOREVER?

Face Time Kortrijk is now in its seventh edition and has become a fixture on the spring agenda.

We are once again bringing 3 top keynote speakers to the Barco One Campus and this around a very topical theme: Artificial Intelligence.

Speakers:

Dries Depoorter

Dries Depoorter is a Belgian artist who deals with themes such as privacy, artificial intelligence, surveillance and social media. Depoorter makes interactive installations, apps and games.

Depoorter has exhibited internationally at Barbican, MUTEK Festival, Art Basel, Bozar, Para Site Hong Kong, Mozilla – The Glass Room San Francisco, HEK Basel, WIRED, IDFA Doclab, Mundaneum, FOMU, Ars Electronica, Athens Digital Art Festival, Art Soutterain, STRP Festival, Heidelberger Kunstverein. As a freelance concept creator, he worked for Amazon, Toyota, Nivea, Carlsberg & Mercedes-Benz.

Koen Kas

prof. Dr. Koen Kas is a healthcare futurist and entrepreneur, molecular oncology & digital health professor at Ghent University in Belgium, and renowned international keynote speaker. 

He published his vision in 2 books. 'Sick no more' describes how we transition from reactive to proactive care. 'Your Guide to Delight' is a roadmap to that future and introduces our personal digital twin that - with AI - keeps you and your company relevant and "young".

He is the curator of the 'global database of digital health AI tools'.

Nicholas Deruytter

Nicolas Deruytter graduated as a civil engineer in 2012 and founded ML6 shortly afterwards. In the meantime, in addition to Ghent, this growth company now also has branches in Amsterdam, Berlin and London and the entire group has around 120 talented employees.

​Nicolas gives guest lectures at Vlerick business school in the AI ​​& big data program on creating business value. He is a member of the AI4Belgium think tank and advises the government on developing and implementing the Belgian AI strategy. In 2021 and 2022 he was nominated as IT person of the year.

Nicolas is a member of the board of directors of the Flemish Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Voka).
