LAB real-time & immersive environments

  • Geneva Switzerland (map)

Modern technological advances and the exponential increase in the computing power of graphics cards make it possible to produce ultra-high definition video in real-time. This new situation makes it possible to consider interactive narration or interactivity with sound or movement.

For six days, visual artists, programmers and musicians will meet and work together to experience these interactions. Three themes are proposed in the form of workshops: the sound-image relationship, 3D real capture, and low-cost virtual production.

Two residencies will take place with the musicians of the Ensemble Contrechamps and the Conservatoire Populaire de Musique, where musicians and visual artists will develop two projects based on real-time playing.
